Just to be sure I didn't do something stupid in all the downloads Jerry, could you resend the theme? And...

Is your PC multi-user? If so, then which folder are you putting the theme into?

When I get a minute maybe I'll just try it from the ground up one more time. ND...it's the UxStyle that you prefer using to "open up" custom themes?

And tell me again, why the h--- did MS lock out themes in the first place?

I dig I've been a bother jerry, and I appreciate your efforts.

No it not, but it still go in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes

UxStyle that you prefer using to "open up" custom themes?
Yes, but both ways should work. Follow the tutorial very closely

And tell me again, why the h--- did MS lock out themes in the first place?

Jerry, separate question, but sort of the same:

The color used when, for instance, the progress meter for I am downloading a file, is the same color [on mine] as the background of the "Selected." One of the big reasons I cannot use light backgrounds for Selected is that then that light color for me [and my bad vision] is hard to see -- so I try to choose darker colors for the "Selected" backgrounds.

Can that "meter color" be isolated and changed independently, so that it wouldn't affect or be effected by the Selected background color?

I cannot figure how to recreate it. I tried downloading, but since I use Get Right, it grabs the download.

It's the progress bar that Windows uses...'ll try to grab it next time I see it.

    eeling pretty stupid

Jerry, I dunno0 how, but I screwed up the CBW biles in and outside the folder. It dawned on me to go all the way back and start over, and, lo and behold, it workes, just exactly as you designe it!

I apologize for the stumbles, and truly thank you for your time, effort and patience!

    Regards,
