Hello Gabby,

Do you have any network drives installed? That's a strange error to kick up.

You're most welcome for the help

Tom

Drives in other machines/devices that you connect to via your ethernet (wired), WiFi (wireless) or other network.

Oh. Is it the same as Media Devices? Cause when I click the Network Tab on the navigation pane, it shows the following: Computer, Media Devices, and Network Infrastructure.

If they're the same then yes, I have them on my computer. Our house has wifi and there are 3 laptops connected to it. The media devices listed are the user accounts of each laptop.

Well, nevertheless it's a strange error message to get when attempting to uninstall Silverlight. Makes it sound like you're trying to use the uninstaller on another machine via your machine:

Quote:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."
Similar to the message you might get when you're using your machine to open a file located on another machine that just so happens to be turned off:

Quote:
"The file you are trying to open is on a network resource that is unavailable."
How about going about it the other way around. Uninstall then reinstall MSE. Don't bother repairing; the past month or so I've seen a number of reports from users with MSE update issues, where uninstalling/reinstalling fixed their problem.

With a successfull uninstall of MSE, and before reinstalling it, you might consider messing with Silverlight. If you can't get Silverlight's update to install try the repair or uninstall/reinstall of the app itself.

If you don't know what they are, then the chances are that you don't have one You can connect storage devices directly to your computer, where you are the only one with access to them, or you can connect them to your router where they can be accessed by anyone on the network. They are commonly used by people for backing up multiple computers with ease Although media devices are similar in sense (Windows Media Player shares your media files over the network so your other computers can access your library), it won't be anything to do with your problem.

F5ing has posted a great suggestion, so I advise you follow that

I can't uninstall MSE, same message is appearing. :/ This is getting annoying. ) Can I just hide the two updates instead, just to put an end to this? Is that going to affect my system's performance in anyway?

I would not hide them. Something's wrong, and it really should be resolved.

Did you try using Safe Mode, as recommended by koolkat77, to do the job?

Did that prior run of sfc /scannow find/repair any errors? If so, did you run it multiple times until getting the message something like "no integrity issues found"?

To ensure complete removal of Bit Defender did you run this tool?
