SP1, non existant, impossible to update to. Ive installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit like 5 times now, was having blue screens and stuff before, and was told to update to SP1, which i didnt even know about (head in the clouds) now im trying to install it and it seems damned near impossible.
Ive tried downloading every possible windows update, still doesnt show me SP1... its not installed, only updates that say anything like "sp1", installed are the net framework 4 SP1 things.
i even downloaded the 3.5 gig install for SP1 or whatever from M$ and loaded it onto a usb drive and tried to install/upgrade using that, and the thing told me, that i had to have SP1 installed first?!
idk im stumped. any help? | My System Specs |

Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
3.5 gig? The 64 bit should be either 1050 MB through windows update or 7400 MB if gotten through the website. It sounds like it may be detecting that your current Windows 7 install has some corrupt or damaged files, and it can't continue. I just dealt with that on two systems that were previously infected with malware. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Intel Core i7-2600 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3P-B3 Memory 12 GB Patriot Extreme DDR3-1333 Graphics Card Nvidia GTX 470 Monitor(s) Displays Dell UltraSharp 2209WA PSU OCZ ModStream 700W Case CoolerMaster HAF 912 Advanced Cooling CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus Hard Drives OCZ Agility3 240 GB, WD5001AALS, WD7501AALS |

The MS Download Center provides a Service pack 1 for ALL Windows 7 OS.
There is no separate SP1 for each Win 7 version.
