IN that case we need details of HOW things are failing - not vague statements!
What error messages are you getting?
What Anti-Virus do you have installed? - did you uninstall the manufacturer's trial offering first, AND run the removal tool from the AV manufacturer's site?
    What have you already attempted?

This has been on-going issue since purchase a year ago. After clean reinstall started errors ( windows installer not found/ computer not configured for driver/software) windows not activated/ unable to activate not genuine. Called Microsoft and windows activated with COA key which never updated in system properties. Updates appeared to install but still unable to install hardware. According to Microsoft securities essential there is no virus/ malware etc. currently receiving error for low disk space, explorer shuts down unexpected errors and any scan attempted errors unable to read OS.

What Anti-Virus did the machine come pre-installed with?
Please give detailed error messages, rather than airy-fairy things that give no real information.

I remember your HP Clean Reinstall Jenn and am sorry to hear it's not performing correctly. Did you wipe the HD prior to reinstall?

When did MSE stop functioning? Do a full scan with updated Malwarebytes now.

    Then run SFC -SCANNOW Command.

    Greg
I've never gotten it right. I'm sure operator error has something to do with it.
I thought virus I'll try scan. Unable to do complete back up...I'm thinking another reinstall just don't want to get in same mess.

Norton was preinstalled but never activated. MSE has been the only AV used and I'm not sure it's working or not. Daily updates successful. As far as errors Im not exactly sure which ones you are interested in. But here's a few system errors
