Windows activation issue / not genuine

This has been going on for a while now, I even procured a new key to try but no luck. Can I / Should I attempt a Windows repair from disc?

Diagnostic and SFC scan data attached. SFC scan console out:

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

    Hi notsofst and welcome,

The key you are using is an MSDN Retail key which is showing as blocked. You really shouldnt be using this key unless obtained from your company or educational institute. Can I please enquire how you obtained the key?

    Cheers

I have an MSDN subscription through my company, is there something wrong with the subscription? I just got it renewed.

This machine may have been using an old/expired subscription up until I updated it about a month ago, which I thought the problem was, but even with a new subscription/key the error remains.

    Hi notsofst,

You could try Installing the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers.
You could try downloading and installing them from here - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=21730

Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.

Failing that I will have to refer your problem to the expert in this field who will be able to advise you further.

Let me know how that goes and we can take it from there.

    Good luck

    Cheers

    Dave

P.S. Forgot to mention the file you want is:

    iata_enu.exe:
provides English-only files if you have an English version of the operating system.

    cheers

Just to clarify things a little for everyone.....
90% of the time, when we see MSDN Keys in the forums, they are the result of people purchasing/using counterfeits - either knowingly or unknowingly.
As a result we tend to get a little antsy around them :)

Your report is typical of a machine with either
    1) a bollixed IRST/IMST driver install - often occurring when restoring an image from backup.
    2) a corrupted CatRoot2 folder
    3) another as yet unidentified cause - the only known solution for which currently is a reinstall.

I downloaded the Windows Ultimate ISO to a USB key and performed an "Upgrade" to try and repair my install.

Hopefully that blows away my incorrect files and replaces them with fresh ones.

I'll post back if it doesn't work.

You need to uninstall and reinstall the WAT update....

    Close all open windows.
Open an Elevated Command Prompt window, and type the following command

    wusa /uninstall /kb:971033

    and hit the Enter key
Accept the warnings/confirmations, and wait for it to complete

copy and paste the output (if any) from the command prompt window to a reply here,
    Reboot

    reinstall the update from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971033
    Reboot

run another MGADiag report, and post it.
