The same two windows update items constantly requiring install

Some help from someone in the know would be appreciated

I have two windows update items (KB2656351 and KB2600217) that show as successfully installing but still show as new updates to install anyway. Other updates install fine.

I am running windows 7 ultimate 64bit and i have tried using the windows update repair tool which finds no errors.

Attached is the update history from Windows Update.

I would be very careful. I have never heard of those tool or that website. This is a Windows problem and should not need such tools. I will take a look and see what I can find. For right now just right click on those updates and hide them. That will stop them from installing again.

yeah was a little dubious about that one.

Haven't tried removing or reinstalling .net framework yet which both updates are for so will try that when I get home from work if you can think of no other solutions.

Windows repair tool is from tweaking.com.It is used by majority of malware removal forums.

Dean do what you want but I highly recommend trying Microsoft's methods. It's their system and their updates. Microsoft is not much into tweaking, after all they designed the system. Many people have had this problem and Microsoft knows about it. That is why they have posted a repair.
