Windows 7 Updates keeps installing same 8 updates over and over

I did search out this problem...very old posts recommended I start a new thread.

For the last 2 weeks every time I shut down automatic install...installs the same 8 updates.

I'd appreciate any help in solving this problem.

    Thanks,
    Toni

Go to Windows Updates, and click on the Update history link in hte left panel - that will tell you which one shave been repeatedly installing.

It's KB2732094...I tried doing what Microsoft suggested and it still failed.
    Thanks.

When they appear again in "available updates" you can right click on them and Hide them. That should stop that nuisance.

OK_ you've now told us ONE of the updates - how about the rest of them?
Please do NOT hide them - it only disguises a small problem that could grow into a major one and leave your system open to attack or failure

    Same Problems

Hi I have been having the same problems for approx the same amount of time.

Today as suggested I hid my updates and then have been restoring them and installing them 1 x 1 and it seems to be successful at this stage

    Cheers

Please start a NEW thread of your own - it gets too confusing when you hijack someone else's thread.

I've been having a little look on the internet for the solution to this problem, but has Windows 7 or your computer been interrupted when installing these updates?

EDIT: Some people have suggested deleting the DataStore.edb file found within the Windows > Software Distribution > Data Store; the file is said to contain the history of updates which are available and have been installed by Windows, therefore if the file is deleted, Windows thinks it has never installed any updates and starts from starch with it's update checking.

Also, I have found information suggesting, that everything should be deleted within the:

Windows > Software Distribution > Data Store > Logs
Windows > Software Distribution > Download

The top process should be done in Safe Mode (Press F8 at Boot)

What do you guys think? Rather have a more professional opinion on the above process.

I would suggest creating a System Restore Point or creating a backup, if you going to follow the above process.

    System Restore - System Restore
Windows Backup - Backup User and System Files
