How do I delete Intel HD Graphics Windows 7 update

After four or five trial and error attempts of system restores to find why my computer was having such an insanely long boot time I finally discovered that it was an optional windows update titled "Intel Corporation- Display - Intel(R) HD Graphics." I avoided the update and my computer worked amazingly. However, my girlfriend recently used my computer and decided to perform some updates...the Intel HD Graphics update being one of them. So of course now my computer is experiencing the same slow boot time and general sluggishness. How can I remove it?

Right click the next time it's pending in Windows Updates to Hide Update.

I'd also check the Support Downloads webpage for your model PC or Display adapter to see if there is a more compatible recent driver.
