People who work with CheckSUR logs are few and far between and, in all of my time working with them, I've never seen anyone from MS Answers demonstrate any understanding of them. I couldn't comment on the HP website, but from what you've said, it sounds similar.
The tutorials are great and Brink (one of our Admins here) dedicated a lot of his time towards making them
