CSI Manifest All Zeros - where to find them?

Trying to upgrade XP to 7- issues along the way, but now boots under WIN7, have applied several rounds of updates, including SP1. Have some updates that won't apply, getting BSODs and lock ups. Have run SCF, no issues; Have run diskchk, no issues; Have run memtest, no issues; Have run CheckSUR - there's 16 manifests all zeros (listed below); Have looked on WIN7 upgrade DVD, the WINDOWS dir, and another system (but its a 64bit OS..) and can't find these manifests.

    Any ideas ?

    thx (in advance)

    2. Run the tool, and then click 'Copy' - ignore any errors if they appear

    3. Use CTRL+V to paste the unedited results of the validation tool here in your next reply

    Hi,

There aren't any problems with that, but it looks like you haven't yet activated the install. I'm not sure that's what could be the issue, but can you activate and then try the updates?

Activated (see below); but updates still fail; same error Code 800B0100
    Updates: KB2511455 & KB2541014

The missing manifests (orig post) seem to deal with the presentation framework; could this also be causing my random lock ups / BSODs?
    thx

    Hi,

Can you try and run the Fixit, suggested here:

Error 0x800B0100 when you try to install Windows Updates or Microsoft Updates

Then see if the updates will complete.

    Regards,
    Golden

Hello sprinkle100 and welcome to the forums

Could you attach the following file to your next post for me please? It's a registry hive that contains all of the information on Windows Updates. The SURT log that you have provided us with shows manifest corruption, but the manifest name gives us no indication as to what update it originated from, so I'll have to trace it manually through your registry hive.

    C:\Windows\system32\config\COMPONENTS

    It has no file extension.

You will have to zip it up before attaching it :)

    Tom
