    service pack 1 has disappeared...


    earlier this week the power went out at my house. so, i had to restart my computer, which entails unplugging 2 usb cords. anyway i hit the power button, it said resuming windows, not an issue. 2 days later, power out again. this time it wanted to restore, i decided to just go with the starting it up. long story short, windows update pops up and says downloads ready, 3 of them, 2 security, and SP 1. I'm not "worried" really, i do have my hd cloned, yet i just wonder what i might have done to make this happen. this is not a need to know and fix it right now kind of thing, and yes, if i had an ups this would not be an issue...

This is an HP EliteBook 8540p with Win 7 Pro SP1 installed on it. Windows update keeps trying to install SP1 for some reason, and it always fails with a Code 8007065E. SP1 was included in the OS and was never installed separately later. How do I make windows update happy? Thanks!

Hi I installed sp1 for windows 7 pro 32 bit, now everytime windows start I get this popup (service pack 1 is now installed). Cannot find it in msconfig or startup. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You
