    Windows Update Error Code 800B0100

Windows has never been able to install this update, and this has gone on for about a week.
ALSO: I did indeed search other threads, none has resolved this for me.
    Updates trying to be installed:
    -KB2419640
    -KB2698365
    -KB976932

When Windows update is ran, a popup is shown saying

    "Installation was not successful

A system error prevented the service pack from installing. Please download and run the "Check System Update Readiness" tool at System Update Readiness Tool fixes Windows Update errors in Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2008

If the "Check System Update Readiness" tool doesn't fix the problem, visit the Microsoft Website for more information. (Details)"

along with the error code 800B0100 in "errors found" located under windows update.

    I have tried:

    -Check System Update Readiness Tool
Installation of Hotfix for Windows (KB947821). Fails and Completes randomly. WU still produces same error: Error: TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE (0x800b0100)
    -Microsoft FixIt and Troubleshooting
Both say Repair Windows Update Components - fixed
-Downloading the Updates from the Download Center
Produces the same error as WU: Error: TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE (0x800b0100)
    -SFC /SCANNOW
    No errors found.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit. The last update installed was KB2553371, according to update history.

Please run a full CHKDSK and SFC scan....
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.

    At the Command prompt, type
    CHKDSK C: /R
    and hit the Enter key.

You will be told that the drive is locked,
and the CHKDSK will run at he next boot - hit the Y key, and then reboot.
The CHKDSK will take a few hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient!
After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) -

    then run the SFC.

SFC -System File Checker - Instructions
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.
    At the Command prompt, type
    SFC /SCANNOW
    and hit the Enter key

Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot.
Copy the CBS.log file created to your desktop (you can't manipulate it directly) and then compress the copy and upload it as an attachment to your reply

Please also download a new copy of the CheckSUR tool (a new version was released at the end of last week), run that, and upload the CheckSUR.log and CheckSUR.persist.log files

The CBS log that Noel mentioned is in this location:

    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

And the CheckSUR.persist.log is in this location:

    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log
