Genuine OEM Win Home Prem x64 fresh reinstall 0Xc004F063 error

    Hello guys,

A month back i purchased an SSD for my old HP envy laptop(purchased in 2010).
I removed the old harddrive and chuked in the ssd in its place and reinstalled the windows home prem x64 edition using the the key extracted from my windows installation on my old harddrive.

Everything seemed to be running well then and windows update downloaded a ton of updates since then

But suddenly since yesterday i kept getting the "copy not genuine error" windows build 7601

I ran check disk and it showed no errors.
Is there a way to make my copy of windows run on my ssd properly ?
I still have the one installed on my old harddisk (currently its lying around without being used ..probably it will run fine if i chuck it back in place of ssd - but i want to use my ssd)

Ohh and for ssd optimization i stopped quite a few services like indexing , system restore , date stamping and what not .. i dont remember all could this be the reason for genuine verification error ??

Also i ran a malware check using the malwarebytes soft - a quick scan turned up nothing.

You reinstalled using a retail disk and the key you got with a KeyFinder (which is only valid when used with the manufacturer's Recovery media).
You need to change the Key to the one on your COA sticker on the machine's case -you may need to activate by phone.

thanks for the quick help noel ,

I went into windows activation and entered the key from the back of my laptop.
didnt get any promp for going into that telephone activation thingy for now.

Below is my current status and things seem fine.
Just searching my system to restore my old wallpaper now lol.

Wonder why the key from the back of my laptop didnt work when i was doing the installation in the first place (i remember it was the first key i entered before it rejected it and i then entered the extracted key).
Also its odd that the extracted key is different to the printed key on laptop.

Possibly just a typo or misread - BTDT!
You should clear the remaining minor error by validating at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate and then you're done.

    Have fun!
