Windows 7 Build 7601 Not Geniune error

I received the 'Windows 7 Build 7601 ... not geniune' error on the desktop computer (used by mainly the kids). I've done some little tinkering and research trying to resolve this error on my own and some of the things I do seem to make the error go away but only for a day or a few hours and then it pops back up so I'm turning here to see if anyone can help. Thank you in advance...

    Oh, Lordie!
The 0xc0000034 error is one that has so far proved to be very elusive - but yours is one of the 'cleanest' examples I've seen, so there may be hope :)

Please run a full CHKDSK and SFC scan....
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.

    At the Command prompt, type
    CHKDSK C: /R
    and hit the Enter key.

You will be told that the drive is locked,
and the CHKDSK will run at he next boot - hit the Y key, and then reboot.
The CHKDSK will take a few hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient!
After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) -

    then run the SFC.

SFC -System File Checker - Instructions
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.
    At the Command prompt, type
    SFC /SCANNOW
    and hit the Enter key

Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot.
Copy the CBS.log file created to your desktop (you can't manipulate it directly) and then compress the copy and upload it to your SkyDrive (http://skydrive.live.com ) and post a link to it so that I can take a look.

Post a new MGADiag report with details of any error messages encountered.

    Hi Noel,

Did all the above without any issues or errors. Here is the link for the cbs.log ...

There's no errors found in the SFC, but it did do a fair amount of tidying up.

Please download and run the ChecSUR tool.

Please run the CheckSUR tool from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821
(you'll need to look in the details for Method 2)

Then zip the CheckSUR.log and upload it to your public SkyDrive so I can take a look - post a link in your reply.

The tool can take anywhere from 5 mins to a couple of hours to run (or 'Install') depending on how much it has to do, and may exit silently - it may appear to freeze for most of that time, but be patient.

    :)
It's the CheckSUR log I need - you seem to have uploaded a new CBS log?

Hmm - 33 minutes, and no errors detected, RATS! :)

    We'll have to go hunting.

Please open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands - I don't need detail, just the number of files found after each command is run (they could be slow, or quick to run - it depend on the amount of RAM in your system)

    DIR C:\Windows /AR /S
    DIR C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles /AR /S
    DIR C:\Windows\System32 /AR /S
    DIR C:\Windows\winsxs /AR /S
    DIR C:\Windows\Servicing /AR /S

    Youch!
    DIR C:\Windows /AR /S -- 1679 Files, 153 Dir

There shouldn't be more than a few (90 in a clean install) - and these are all ooutside the areas I was looking at....
    OK.
Please run the following command - it will create a file on the desktop (flist.txt).
please attach the file to your reply....

    DIR C:\Windows /AR /S >%userprofile%\desktop\flist.txt
