    Oh, flippin' 'eck!
Another one! At least I'm pretty sure I know where this one came from :)

Please run the following commands in an Elevated Command Prompt

OK - I know where to go now :)

I've attached a small .reg file - please download it to your desktop
once saved, right-click on it, and select Merge.
You'll get a couple of warnings - accept them
You should get a 'success' message.
    Close that, and reboot.
run another MGADiag report, and post it.

    RATS!!
I really thought we were home on that one!
We'll have to try the long way around to the last fix as it may be critical.
Before doing anything, please run the following command and post the results (you may get a popup window with an error message)

    CSCRIPT C:\Windows\System32\slmgr.vbs /DLV

    ....on to the 'fix'

If you don't understand anything please ask!
First create a System Restore point, then....
    Open Regedit
    Navigate to
    HKCR\TypeLib\{565783C6-CB41-11D1-8B02-00600806D9B6}

Right-click on the Key in the left pane, and select Permissions
    Click on the Advanced button
    Click on the Owner tab
Highlight Administrators, and put a tick in the 'Replace owner on...' box
    Click Apply
(Current Owner should change to Administrators)
    Click OK - ONCE
    Click on the Permissions tab
In the Permission entries box, highlight Administrators
    click Edit
put a tick in the Allow /Full Control box (all the other Allow boxes should automatically be ticked)
put a tick in the 'Apply these permissions....' box
    Click OK out to Regedit
    Close Regedit
    Open an Elevated Command Prompt
    run the following command

    C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\regtlibv12.exe C:\Windows\system32\wbem\wbemdisp.tlb

Close the Command prompt if successful - otherwise post the results.
    Open Notepad
copy and paste the following into the Notepad window, and save to the desktop as TEST.VBS

    Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:\\.\root\cimv2")
    Set colComputers = objWMIService.ExecQuery("Select * from Win32_ComputerSystem")
    wscript.echo "Test Passed"

now double-click on the new file - you should get a small popup window saying 'Test Passed'
If you get anything else, copy and paste the message to your reply.

Now reboot and run a new MGADiag report and post the results.

probably not a good idea - let's see if we can work out what the problem with VSS is...

Please run the following commands form an Elevated COmmand Prompt

    NET START VSS
    SC QC VSS
    SC QUERYEX VSS
    VSSADMIN LIST WRITERS

(teh last may take a minute or two - wait for the response)
    post the output.
