Suddenly Windows 7 is not genuine

    Hello,

Since a couple of days my windows 7 show me a popup with a warning about not being genuine. I have my laptop (Sony) since 8 months or so, and the copy of windows is the OEM license that was installed on the laptop when I bought it (it was new).

I ran the diagnostic tool and this is the report that I got:

To confirm that the problem is what I think it is, please run the following commands in an Elevated Command Prompt window and post the results.

    REG QUERY HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\TypeLib\{EE574957-4077-4AD6-8658-327C2C86C5AA} /S
    REG QUERY HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\TypeLib\{EE574957-4077-4AD6-8658-327C2C86C5AA} /S

Here are some instructions to make life easier :)
    1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the CP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
    2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
    3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.

    Oh goody :)
    Simple fix (I hope!)
I've attached a small .reg file - please download it and save it to your desktop.
Once saved, rigntclick on it, and select Merge
You'll get a couple of warnings - accept them.
You should get a success message - close that out, and reboot.
Now run another MGADiag report, and post the results.

The error on hitting the copy button isn't unusual.

We seem to have cleared at least one error - but another remains....

Let's have a bit of a hunt for it....
The error occure in the first real line of the vbs file

    That all looks normal.

Please run the following commands from an Elevated command prompt - you should get success popups from each of the first two.

    regsvr32 scrrun.dll
    regsvr32 vbscript.dll

    REG QUERY HKCR\TypeLib\{420B2830-E718-11CF-893D-00A0C9054228} /s
