Windows 7 build 7601, Not genuine Hi so I got a new computer about a month ago, no problems untill out of nowhere my background changed to a black screen with "Windows 7 build 7601 This copy of windows is not genuine"

Unless I'm mistaken, this looks like an ACER OEM installation on a retail motherboard - an attempt at a counterfeit installation.
Where did you purchase your PC? Second hand? Ebay? I got my PC from ebay. I don't think its second hand, but It did come with a COA sticker however I was unable to find a product key anywhere in my packaging.

Mattino you can use these commands:
Open command prompt (admin mode)
type-- slmgr.vbs /rilc
a pop up will appear, close it. then type
slmgr.vbs /ato
