Sorry, probably before I was confused, I've told you user1 and user2 ending with -1004 and -1008 strings, but now I see 1008 and 1014...
Thanks
It's all to easy to get confused in teh registry - which is why I like to use REG Query rather than attempting to point people through regedit :)
It looks as if the UpdatusUser accounts are all for nVidia software updaters! Have a look in your Programs&Features listing and see what nVidia programs you have installed.
As developer I've always looked inside the registry!! eheheh.
Here they are:
- NVIDIA Graphics Driver 306.97
- NVIDIA PhysX System Software 9.12.0604
- NVIDIA Update 1.10.8
See you tomorrow, thanks a lot.

Mullitz - rather than barging into the middle of someone else's thread, please start your own, and include details of your problems.
Hi NoelDP,
when I saw your last reply I was in the middle of my experiment.
WindowsUpdate is unable to download (and not to install) the two KBs, so I had the "wonderful clever" idea to simulate a new update from Microsoft. Instead of waiting for the second week of December I uninstalled a successfully installed KB update (KB2763523), thinking that in this way after rebooting WindowsUpdate would have shown this new update.
Well, after uninstalled that KB I'm still waiting (about 2/3 hours) the reboot of Windows ,
it says "Preparing to configure Windows, do not turn off your computer"...:)
Do you suggest to wait or not?
Thanks! UPDATE: It worked! After sent my last post, the PC rebooted. I checked again WindowsUpdate and it shown me a new update (KB2763523) available together with office 2007 ones. I unchecked the office ones and checked the KB2763523: downloaded and installed successfully! Why did I do this? Because I wanted to know if the problem was in WindowUpdate program or concerned with the office 2007 available updates. :)

I uninstalled only NVIDIA Update 1.10.8.No. I executed the REG QUERY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList" command again and I got the same result as before. All SIDs are still there.it's the Updater that creates the account. If you uninstall it, does the account disappear? No, the GUID with all zeroes is still there, inside catroot and catroot2 folders. Thanks and sorry my late answerIf so - does the strange GUID also disappear from the catroot2 folder?
Well done (It's something I should have thought of!)
So it's specific to these two files -
Do I remember you saying that you don't actually have Office installed at all - merely one of the Viewer apps?
If so, uninstall the viewer app, run the Office cleanup tool and then reinstall the app.
How to uninstall or remove Microsoft Office 2007 suites
