    Win7 SP1 x64 TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE(0x800b0100)

Hi guys, I'm having this error (TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE(0x800b0100)) when Windows Update tries to install SP1 in my Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits. I've alredy downloaded the .exe file for SP1 (903MB approximately), but still get the same error.

Later I tried to install System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7 64 bits. It generates a log file that says that there were errors but it couldn't fix them. The file is attached.

I,ve seen also, in another thread here at Seven Forums, one guy that received a solution, but this solution was specific for his system problems, because the guy who solved his problem only sent him the files he needed. This is the thread link: Win7 SP1 x64 TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE(0x800b0100)

Hope you guys can help me. :)

Hello gabrielSbrug and welcome to the forums

As promised, here I am :)

    Windows Update Package Replacement

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

    1. Please download the attached file, Packs.zip and save this to your Desktop.
    2. Right-click on the file and select Extract All...
    3. Tick the box labelled Show extracted files when complete then click Extract
    4. A window will open showing two folders, Manifests and Packages
    5. Open the Manifests folder and copy the files into the following folder (if there are any files)

      C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

    6. Open the Packages folder and copy the files into the following folder (if there are any files)

      C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

    7. Run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) again
    8. When the SURT finishes installing, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the SURT log into your next post please:

      C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log

You will probably be shown the error code 0x8024200D after performing this fix, if so, please download and install the update from this link. It must be downloaded using Internet Explorer.

Download Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 Update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 from Official Microsoft Download Center (download the file Windows6.1-KB979900-x64.msu)

Tom, as you said, after the fix I received an error for those 2 updates (Security and .NET 3.5), but then I downloaded the files you told me to, through the IE and after installing them the error was gone.

The file CheckSUR.persist.log is attached, as you asked.

Thank you a lot for help me.
