Great - looks as if we've managed to cure the non-genuine problem, with the added bonus of solving another problem at the same time :)
You can reset your background using Personalise on the desktop options.

I'm sorry to say this problem has re-occurred in the same way which it occured before. I didn't manage to printscreen the error but this time I did.
Here are the links to the error images :/

That's a very different error to the original one -
The device enumeration failing is a sign of potential hardware problems so far as I know.
Please open Event Viewer, and navigate in teh left pane to teh Windows Logs\Application
right-click on it, and select Save all as... and call the file Appevent.evtx
do the same for the System log - call it Sysevent.evtx
then compress both files and attach it to your reply.

Well, I had those 2 dialog boxes before the windows genuine error, dismissed both thinking it was one of windows random errors and then it happened, same again but this time printscreened them as they seem to have significance

You have a number of problems with services and drivers - there are errors in respect of Norton present which would tend to imply that

    1) Your AV is Norton.
    2) It's not working properly.
My recommendation is to download install and run MBAM, then uninstall Norton, and run the Norton Removal tool, then install MSE (at least temporarily) and run a full system scan with that.

Please download and install Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free version) from http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ - UNtick 'Enable free trial of MBAM PRO' at the end of the installation - and update it, then run a full scan in your main account, and Quick scans in any other user accounts.

    Delete everything it finds

Download the Norton Removal Tool from here https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp/help-solutions.jsp?lg=english&ct=united+states&docid=20080710133834EN&product=home&version=1&pvid=f-home

Close all other programs, then run the tool. When it's complete, reboot the machine whether it asks for it or not.

After the reboot, open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following command

    NETSH WINSOCK RESET

You'll be advised to reboot - do so.

Download and install MSE from this link....
