"Build 7601 This copy of Windows is not genuine" Not TTS Error

I've been getting the infamous Build 7601 error every now and then for a few weeks. Normally rebooting solves it, but it seems to have become resistant to that strategy. After running tool MGADiag tool everything seems to be in order. The product key matches the one printed on the laptop.

    Thanks for your help!

Hello sj and welcome Is this a first install or subsequent ones from a CD you have?

If it keeps doing it then one suggestion is to contact Microsoft and explain the problem they are usually pretty helpful.

Have a look at this it might help Windows 7 Build 7601 - Error Code 0xC004F063, a month after reinstall - Microsoft Community

The problem here is one with a Service - I suspect that it may be teh WMI service, from teh error message.

Please open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands, and post the results.....

    NET START SPPSVC
    NET START SPPUINOTIFY
    NET START WINMGMT
    NET START TRUSTEDINSTALLER

Here are some instructions to make life easier :)
    1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the ECP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
    2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
    3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.
