"Windows cant be installed as it is GPT partition style"What do I do?

Besically about 2 months ago I installed Ubuntu on my laptop and now i am trying to put back windows.
However when i try to install it, it says: "windows cannot be installed in this partition as it is GPT partition style.
As I received this message i tried to find out what to do and I tried soooo many things and now I have no idea what to do!
Right now i do not have any operative system on my laptop and I am using ubuntu through a USB stick.
When i look at the details of my HDD it says that it is MBR and not GPT!
I am going crazy and I do not know what to do! I think I even deleted the partition to restore my windows 7 home premium version.

Please tell me what I can do. I am stuck =(

Use the command prompt on your windows installation disc and reformat the drive. The commands are:

    Diskpart
    List disk
Select disk n (where n is the number that was given for your disk in List disk)
    Clean
    Create partition primary
    Format fs=ntfs quick
    Active
    Exit

    Then install into that partition.

I could only tell you (maybe) if I knew the exact operation sequence you did. But since this is water under the bridge, is it worth it ??
