"Windows cant be installed as it is GPT partition style"What do I do?

Besically about 2 months ago I installed Ubuntu on my laptop and now i am trying to put back windows.
However when i try to install it, it says: "windows cannot be installed in this partition as it is GPT partition style.
As I received this message i tried to find out what to do and I tried soooo many things and now I have no idea what to do!
Right now i do not have any operative system on my laptop and I am using ubuntu through a USB stick.
When i look at the details of my HDD it says that it is MBR and not GPT!
I am going crazy and I do not know what to do! I think I even deleted the partition to restore my windows 7 home premium version.

Please tell me what I can do. I am stuck =(

Use the command prompt on your windows installation disc and reformat the drive. The commands are:

Diskpart
List disk
Select disk n (where n is the number that was given for your disk in List disk)
Clean
Create partition primary
Format fs=ntfs quick
Active
Exit

Then install into that partition.

I could only tell you (maybe) if I knew the exact operation sequence you did. But since this is water under the bridge, is it worth it ??

Have copied files named "Copy of" instead of "- Copy" (aka XP style)
G'day everyone How can I get Windows 7 to name copied files using the scheme "Copy of" (used in Windows XP and earlier) instead of the default scheme "- Copy", whenever a file is copied to the same directory as the original file? In other words, if you copy a file named "Foo.txt" in a...

Both "System reserved" and "C" partition cloned to external HDD: boot?
With EaseUS Backup Tool, I've cloned these two partitions ("System Reserved" and "C") to same-sized partitions on a external HDD ("X" and "Y"). Picture tells it concisely: How to make drives "X" and "Y" boot-able? In "Disk Management", I've noticed these partition labels missing: "X" (or...

Moving bootmanager from "Storage" partition to "System" partition
Hey, whats up? New here. Right now my hard drive is split up into two partitions: System and Storage. However, when installing 7, for some odd reason, the installer put the boot manager (I think it is the boot manager) on my Storage partition, when I want it on the System partition. Is there a...

Making the partition Seven is installed on "Primary"
I installed Seven on a partitioned 320gb Hard drive on my Dell Laptop. Unfortunately being a novice I didn't nominate the partition as my "Primary" drive.
