Not necessary - the IRST drivers are merely an update, and will automatically uninstall any previous versions if required.

    Hey guys,

Great news! I did step #36 and everything seems to be working except one thing I can't figure out. Do I still need to do the steps 39-41? Thanks again for all your help, guidance, and most of all patience! It is truly appreciated :) If you guys ever need anything and I can do it consider it done!

Also, I do I need to start a new thread for the one remaining problem I've notied after all this?

Please post a new MGADiag report, and run another manual check for updates - but history says that you should be OK now :)

The error message you posted that you get when you try to run something means you need to exactly what it says, install Microsoft .NET 2.0, so download and install .NET 2.0.

I advise you to install the latest IRST drivers. I knew it was that problem... read it all over the internet. But only after restoring disk or cloning disk. It has something to do with Advanced Format - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Code 643 can be a pain to solve - or it may be susceptible simply to downloading the affected update separately and installing it.
    (Your report reads fine, now)
Please list the failing updates with their associated error messages (right-click on the entry in the Update History, and select Details)

    Noel,
It's not letting me view the failed updates in the history, it only lists the successful updates.
