Windows 7: Build 7601 Not Genuine

Thanks for the registry export, that's all fine. Converted to ASCII, it is this string:

%SystemRoot%\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17592_none_0b0e4b4025cf4049

Which should match the folder name that we're trying to find here

Hello BazzBro,

Because SFC is reporting no issues with the files in this folder, I would like to check all of the hashes manually. Could you zip up this folder please:

%SystemRoot%\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17592_none_0b0e4b4025cf4049

And upload it to your Dropbox, Skydrive, or third party file hosting website (I would recommend SendSpace). Then repeat for this folder:

%SystemRoot%\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17592_none_672ce6c3de2cb17f

Ok....let me just start by saying that I know just enough about computers to manage fairly well, but I am by no means a "geek"......I have read a few of the threads about this problem, but before I can get proceed at all, I have to admit my ignorance: I don't know how to run the diagnostic tool that generates the reports that I have seen here. Please help?

Uninstalling KB971033 may only hide the problem - and certainly makes it harder to troubleshoot.
