    SFC /SCANNOW gave the all clear
    Windows update came back with the same KB2758857 to install, so trying that 1 now to see if it loads

    It may well throw an error message - in which case download it from Download Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2758857) from Official Microsoft Download Center and run that

    OK, all good. the update loaded, restarted and checked and windows update is saying all is green
