These Windows Updates Wont Install!? Plz Help

    Hi,

Thanks for looking. I am usually able to fix most problems I have with my pc through searching for similar problems on here, but Im really stuck here :/

I keep being prompted to install these same updates on my pc, running windows 7 ultimate x32, over and over again.

    KB2487367 KB2656351 KB2468871 KB2533523 KB2600217

I have searched for a solution and so have already tried-
/Checking if they say they are installed-which they all say succesful.
/Installing each one individually, and rebooting after each time.
/Carried out thorough scans using Kaspersky and Malwarebytes.
/Downloaded a microsoft fixit relating to the issue.

All of which have failed in sorting this problem out.
    Should I be worried?
    Can this be solved?
Hopefully someone can share some pearls of wisdom?
    Thanks and Seasons Greetings

p.s. any other info needed let me know

It could be that your system may not need those updates. Sometimes a list of updates is put out by MS that your system picks up on, but it may not need those specific updates after others have been installed. Now usually (not always) the system will indicate that specific update are not needed. . .:)

Thanks for the link and advice. I have included my cbs file but cant include any error codes because none appear-it just says updates installed succesfully and then a few seconds later i get the windows update notification again.
    Thanks again

It looks to me as if there's a problem with your registry - the system appears to be loading offline hives on every boot, for some reason.

Have you been using any form of registry cleaner or speed-up tool?

I am very sorry for not checking back here.

    Thanks for your reply.

I do have tuneup utilities that works in the background but i have had that for a longtime with none of these issues..
In fact the only thing i have done differently is move from eset nod32, to avast (which I found irritating) so now i use kaspersky.. could this have anything to do with the update probs?

Also what shall i do to sort this do u have any ideas?

Sorry again for the late reply, and Thank You again for your time

also have always used ccleaner but again with no problems

..come to think of it, this update problem started roughly around the time i started using avast.

I still seem to be getting the new updates, and they install ok, but these just keep popping up again.

    First things first...
Do yourself a favour and get rid of 'Tuneup Utilities' - it's all snake-oil.
CCleaner is fine - so long as you stay away from the Registry cleaner!

You need to run the cleanup tools from your old AV's

NOD32 - How do I manually uninstall my Windows ESET security product? - ESET Knowledgebase
Avast - avast! Uninstall Utility | Download aswClear for avast! Removal

Then open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run
    NETSH WINSOCK RESET
    and reboot on request.

OK so thanks for your help so far.

I have gotten rid of tune up, used both antivirus removers as posted, and waited for the pc to do its thing with dl updates etc

Unfortunately all to no avail the same updates r still popping up each time.

Hope the snow isnt causing too much disrupt your end.
