Clean install of Windows 7 and drivers

I have an HP laptop, and it will not boot up.

Have tried safe mode, repair, everything. But no go.

So right now I am reinstalling W7 from the original CDs.

After I get that done, I have the drivers CD. So, my question is what is involved in doing that installation?

Hi Johnneeo. I have an HP driver DVD for my laptop and it is just a matter of popping it into the optical drive and running setup. I usually like to choose the drivers and install them one by one from the DVD. You can run the driver installation automatically, but then you may also get something like MacAfee AV installed as well.

The Win 7 Disk has almost all of the drivers on it or will come in the initial update. Why don't you just wait and see what you are missing and go to that site and download the current ones. The drivers on the disk are old by the time you get them.
