    One last task - validate the system at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate to remove the one remaining error from the report.
    When it passes, you'll be offered MSE and IE9 - you don't have to take either of them!

    Great, that installed fine and the web site says I'm "genuine".

    This system has been up and running for a while, I don't know what got corrupt, but it looks like everything is straightened out.
