Reran the Readiness Update Tool and another SFC. SFC came back clean, but now that I know how to read the CBS log, I did find some errors. Attached is the copy and paste's of the errors.

Please post the fill file - those lines may be outdated now.
Have you checked that Windows Updates is pulling down the new updates properly yet?
Those lines shouldn't be outdated. I had posted it pretty much right after I ran the readiness update tool.
Yeah I just tried WU again and everything is working normally. It recognized an update for MS Security Essentials (def update) and installed it just fine.
MSE/Defender definitions get installed by a slightly different mechanism as a rule - what about other updates?
Please try this
Open an Elevated Command Prompt and run the following command
SC config TrustedInstaller start= auto
close the window, and reboot.
Note the time, and wait 10 minutes after reboot, then post the new CBS.log
You have a large number of errors originating from a small number of updates.
The machine appears to have rebooted at 16:20:46 (call that line 1), and finished boot processing at 16:20:59 (line 47
It then launched into a series of Appl: detect Parent routines.
The last entry is at 16:24:18 (line 72345) - when it was still processing these routines!
By way of contrast, last night's SFC run took 3372 lines, and 15 minutes - and the Appl:
in the latest part, there are the following errors....

It's too late for me to do anything tonight - I need some sleep!
Get some rest. I'm not going anywhere and neither are my problems apparently lol. Whenever you're ready let me know what next steps I need to take.
I think an attempt to repair the .NET 3.5 install on Windows is possibly a way forward - I'm just not certain how best to do it, since it's part of the OS.
While I try and work it out, please run these two Fixits, and post the results....
Fix problems with programs that can't be installed or uninstalled
Fix the problem with Microsoft Windows Update that is not working
they may help, and shouldn't hurt :)
On a side note, I'm getting a couple errors thrown in Event Viewer that are tied to one of my hard drives in my RAID 0 array with bad blocks. If I can't get my system to behave once we're done exhausting options, I may replace the bad drive and start fresh.
The SFC report is clean - there's nothing outside the SFC run time in it, which makes me think that perhaps you trimmed it?
If you're getting bad blocks, BACK UP NOW - you never know when the drive may die. I think replacing the drive has to take precedence over fixing this.
