| | error code 66A Hello and I have read, searched and went with the recommended fix and no go. I have 3 import. updates that won't go, on a laptop with 7 installed. Googled 66A and says to go to repair "microsoft NET framework 4 client profile" in install/uninstall. I did, restarted and same issue. I tryied to update in safe mode w/networking and this function is disabled. (a microsoft thing) I have scanned for rootkits, viruses and nothing found. (with different programs) What to do? Thx, DM |

| | update I ck'd and they are 3 netframe 4 updates that need to be installed. I manually downloaded the updates, for my X64 machine. Get a message "not applicable...or blocked by another condition on pc". Now the unsolved mystery...."what condition"? |

| | My solution would be to uninstall .NET 4, then reinstalall and update it - if necessary, using a Clean Boot procedure to do so. What was yours? Did you find out what the 'interfering software' was? |
