    Windows 7 activation error 0xC004F035

    Hi,

I ran GParted Live on a new Acer Aspire One 725 running Windows 8 to delete all partitions and to create a new NTFS partition; I've installed a university-licensed copy of Windows 7 Enterprise on the partition but cannot get it activated. Here is what I get when I run MGADiag Tool:

I've tried manually activating it across our network using the command prompt slmgr and got the error code in the title of this thread.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks.

The installed Product Key is a KMS Client Key, which requires activation on a dedicated KMS server.
It also requires that the BIOS SLIC table be properly formed, to confirm that the machine has been upgraded, rather than clean-installed. Your SLIC table has become malformed for some reason.

You'll have to contact the Uni and request an MAK Key for activation

Thanks very much for the quick reply, I phoned our networks dept first thing this morning, they remotely entered the MAK key and it's activated now. Thanks for your help.
