I follwed instructions but I am lost when it comes to the print screen part i do know how to work with paint ..when i click on the zipped file it wont open

...and you still haven't posted the CBS and Checksur logs as requested?

You don't need to open the zipped file - simply attach it to your response.

CheckSUR fund and fixed one problem - the SFC scan found no problems.

Please run a manual Check for Updates, and attempt installation of (only) the oldest update found - what error (if any) do you get?

I have tried since this update came out back in nov 2012 to install this one i tried the microsoft fix it tool on this one a while back and it still wont install correctly ..

Have Norton and/or McAfee software EVER been installed on this system?

Ignore the APPLIES TO section; run the following Fix It in both Default and Aggressive modes -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 (I think it still offers both modes - it seems to have changed since I last used it)
Use the one on the page itself, rather than the one from the popover.

Then do another manual check for updates, and try installing that update again.

Both Norton and McAfee have been on this laptop in the past..
When i run the fix it it says .."Trouble shooting cannot continue because an error has occured".
