Ah - that sounds a lot better :)

Good luck with it! Keep an eye on it until after next month's updates and see what it does without kicking it...

Hi Sarah,

One last thing to do, just to tidy up after ourselves.

Please download this file: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/16537616/Sarah.zip

And extract the four files to the root folder of your C: drive, such that they are in the following locations C:\img0 etc.

Command Prompt

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

1. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

Hi Sarah,

I have been in contact with niemiro (the developer of SFCFix) and we did in fact run into a bug with the RestorePermissions process which has since been fixed. Could you delete your copy of SFCFix.exe as it is now outdated and follow these instructions:

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop
2. Download the attached file, SFCFix.txt, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.txt - do not rename it
3. Save any open documents and close all open windows
4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.txt
5. Drag the file SFCFix.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it
6. SFCFix will now process the script
7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFC.txt.
8. Copy (Ctrl + C) and Paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for letting me know about the log, I will pass this onto the developer.

The fix worked perfectly this time so you're all good to go now!

Add both internal DNS and public DNS entries in the Network Connection Settings.
