    Winows Update errors 0x80073712 & 0x80070002

The latest patches fail to install and I have gone through the threads to try and correct the problem with recommended actions but the problem still persists.

I've attached the required files and successfully complete the SURT and SFC actions without errors as per the Windows Update Posting Instructions .
I've also included the ever useful event log entries as well. Can anyone help?

FDISK could be my next option...but I prefer the learn rather than surrender.

You have almost 200 missing files according to the CheckSUR report - but none, according to the SFC report.
This indicates some major mismatch between the registry and the file system.

A repair install is your best and quickest repair option.

I tried the repair option but it did not correct the problem(s). I ended up backing up all the data and completely wiping and reinstalling WIN7 from scratch. I appreciate the help and thank you.
