Windows 7 Profession trial to Other version of Windows 7

There isn't a version of Windows 7.

Do this ASAP (you'll add another 30 days to the trial period which you're in because it's not activated yet):

1. Open the Start Menu
2. Type cmd
3. Right-click the matching result ("cmd.exe")
4. Choose "Run as administrator"
5. Type slmgr -rearm and press Enter
6. Reboot

Now go back to this so-called "tech" and tell him to enter a valid Product Key. Either that, or ask him to make it work because he's the one who stuck you with an installation of Windows 7 without giving you a valid Product Key. If he had, then you could have entered it and you'd be all set. Actually, he should have activated it for you, but the past is passed and so this is all we can do now. So, I'm asking you to hold this guy responsible.

As you can see from the source I linked above, you can do this 2 more times after you do it today. That should give you all the time you need to get back to this so-called "tech".

What version(Edition) of Windows 7 did you have before until your hard drive died ?

I wouldn't take the laptop back to the " tech " so we could input a key for you that will not be right . You have a product key under the laptop or underneath the battery . Click on the link below it will have everything you need including a link where you could download a legit copy of the Windows 7 that came with your PC just without the bloatware. PLEASE follow the tutorial carefully .

If his old OS isn't professional it will not work . If it is he would have to activate it using the phone option .

The link will have everything he will need to get a working PC with a legit product key ( from the bottom of the laptop ). The key will work with 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 7 .

The version and edition on the COA sticker on your machine must match the version and edition of Windows installed.
Many techs are too lazy to do the job properly, and just install with whatever they have handy, and cobble it.

Ignore errors produced when clicking on the Copy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup files for some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to your response.

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!
