That looks normal, although your hive file looks a little stale (have you rebooted since 4/2 at 12:12 AM ??)
Please open an Elevated Command Prompt

run the following commands

REG LOAD HKLM\TEST C:\Windows\System32\config\components
REG UNLOAD HKLM\TEST

You should get success message from both commands

The computer was turned on today 4/3 at ~ 1:00 PM USA eastern time. It was not in sleep mode, but totaly turned off. It was probably turned off last night about the time you show.

Both commands run and as you said, they both said completed successfuly

OK - that was probably a red herring then
I can't see the registry edits causing the problem - I know of people who've simply installed SP1 and then re-applied the edits.

The actual failure seems to be generated here...

I've seen that type of error before, and been unsuccessful in fixing it
Since the update involved is a recent update (KB2790113) it may be worth attempting to uninstall it manually.

Search for it in the list of installed updates, and try uninstalling it.
If it does uninstall, reboot, and then attempt installing SP1 again.

not actually a shock, but it failed to install sp1. Ran sfc /scannow first, rebooted, and then tried install from the direct download from MS.
