    2008 R2 SP1 failing to install

    Hi Folks,

long time lurker, first time help requester...

got a Windows 2008 R2 box that is refusing to take SP1, and appears to be missing 4 repair files, that I can't find on any other server in the environment...

I believe the files should be on Windows 7 as well - can someone help me out?

CheckSUR content follows, thanks in advance!

    Cheers,

    Andrew

It shouldn't be too difficult :)

While I'm sorting out a fix protocol, please run an SFC /SCANNOW, and upload your CBS.log folder as well - see the Windows Update Posting Instructions

thanks for that - I've cleaned up all bar the last 4 files that were creating the errors...

I managed to get copies of the missing files by installing a temporary VM... thanks for the pointers in other threads, and the assistance offer :)

Sorry about the lack of follow up. Ran out of 3G credit. Glad you got it sorted!
