    Some settings are managed by your administrator.


    I do a clean reinstall here's my thread before What is OEMLOADER?

    and after this I cannot update my windows?
    Please help me how to fix this.
    im running windows 7 ultimate 64bit

    Hello Adrian,

    You might see if this may be able to help enable Windows Update.

    Windows Update - Enable or Disable "Who can install updates" Setting

    still not working but i think now i know the problem the version of my windows 7 was not service pack 1 Ill download the standalone installer of it.
    but ofcourse thanks for your reply.

    You will likely need Admin rights to install a Service Pack, so if you don't have them now, or have access to them, trying to install the Service Pack will not help.

    You will likely need Admin rights to install a Service Pack, so if you don't have them now, or have access to them, trying to install the Service Pack will not help.
    windows update is working but i cannot manage it,
    what i mean is when i turn off my laptop the windows update is installing but still i cannot choose what to install and what not to install

    Adrian,

    Since this is most likely a Group Policy setting causing this, you could reset all group policies back to default using the tutorial below to hopefully fix this without having to go through them manually.

    Local Group Policy - Reset to Default

    the vbs file worked.
