    Fatal error C*000000034 when starting a computer

    Service pack was installing itself on my machine last night and it started to stall at 15%. So I turned the machine off. Since then I get a fatal error when starting a computer C*000000034. I've followed several steps on the internet but to no avail. I've tried Microsoft solution with script.vbs but command prompt can not locate script.vbs on USB drive. I've tried with pending.xml and it didn't work and tried with HKMLBase but it doesn't recognize the commands it says I should use "REG LOAD?" but even then it turns out nothing. I also tried startup repair but it restarted itself and it just showed the same error. I would like additional help if it can be provided for. I'd like some other options other than those three. BTW, I have no Windows Disc. It came pre-installed.
    Windows doesn't start and only informs me of the error.

    This sounds a bit complicated to me. How do I enter Windows RE, the only option I have is Repair your computer. I've looked at this too and it sounded complicated to me then.

    I'm no expert but shutting down your computer when installing SP-1 is a No No. If I remember correctly SP-1 Update gives a caution relating to that.
    I do not understand what a usb has to do with installing SP-1.
    You could try going to a restore point before the attempted Update and then do a Windows Update again. It will take about a hour if I remember correctly. I also recommend staying with the computer while it is downloading and installing just in case it ask for your input. Don't do anything else on the computer unless Windows instructs you to. No browsing, Youtube, or torrents ect running in the background.

    It's because of the error. I've searched for solution and the one that Microsoft suggested was saving script.vbs and running in command prompt. I've tried system restore and it wasn't successfull. This is what they suggested but command prompt didn't find the file.
    Dim xmlDoc, node, nodeList, fileName, backupFileName, numberOfPOQNodes
    Set xmlDoc = CreateObject("Microsoft.XMLDOM")
    If Wscript.Arguments.Count = 0 Then
    WScript.echo("Error! No XML file specified.")
    Wscript.quit
    End If
    fileName = WScript.Arguments(0)
    backupFileName = Left(fileName, InStrRev(fileName, ".") - 1) & "_backup.xml"
    If Not xmlDoc.load(fileName) Then
    WScript.echo("Failure loading XML file " & fileName & ".")
    Wscript.quit
    End If
    xmlDoc.save(backupFileName)
    Set nodeList = xmlDoc.documentElement.selectNodes("POQ")
    numberOfPOQNodes = nodeList.Length
    For Each node in nodeList
    xmlDoc.documentElement.removeChild(node)
    Next
    xmlDoc.save(fileName)
    Set xmlDoc = Nothing
    WScript.echo(numberOfPOQNodes & " POQ nodes removed. Script completed.")

    I do not have previous system restores, the only one is with SP1 included.
