Windows update ruined my .Net framwork 4 help

Ok, this isnt a thread where my .net framework completely fails or I cannot install it

Yesterday I completely removed all .net framework on my computer, manually cleared some folders and files and reinstalled .net framework 4.0, after that IT WORKS, my programs (mostly game editors and handbrake) are able to run completely fine and no more clr error 80004005

Now, when I turned off my computer I realized that it has to undergo 10 updates, when I checked, they are all about .net framework 4 security update and some program updates, it took around an hour for them to be installed when I shut down my computer

Now heres the problem, MY .NET FRAMEWORK IS NOT WORKING AFTER I RESTART, damn clr error 80004005 shows up again and for real? it was working an hr ago when I freshly install it, JUST HOW BAD ARE MICROSOFT'S DEVELOPERS?

Now Im completely lost, googling takes me mostly to installation problems regarding that error, but I know it works and its obviously microsoft update corrupted my .net framework, reinstalling gives me a one time access to the programs I need, but thats highly inconvenient and also it will take an hr for my computer to be turned off

    Any suggestions?

OK to hell with microsoft, I reinstalled .net framework and disabled my windows update, finally its in (semi-) working condition

@moderators, IDK why u moved this to the windows update section, although the .net framework update was processed through windows updater Im looking for a solution to fixing the files on my hardrive and its a problem regarding a program not a update and so unless you have a better reasoning

    Hi im4eversmart,

The moderators probably moved your thread to the Windows Update forum because the people who are more familiar with Windows Update have a good understanding of the .NET Framework so you're more likely to get the answer you want. I would never have seen this thread if it hadn't been moved, the Windows Update forum is the only one I check.

I would recommend removing the .NET framework 4.0 with the cleanup tool: .NET Framework Cleanup Tool User's Guide - Aaron Stebner's WebLog - Site Home - MSDN Blogs

Then reboot, install the .NET Framework 4.0 again. Then run the SURT and a SFC scan, as explained in this page: Windows Update Posting Instructions

Post your zipped up CBS folder when finished :)
