Thanks for the help, guys. I'm getting used to the new start screen. The only stupid thing is that the computer icon and my username icon aren't on the desktop. I sorta feel like all the furniture has been rearranged in my house, but I'm determined to take the challenge. It hasn't effected stuff like going on the internet and music and all that, but why'd they have to go messing with my keystrokes? I'll get used to it, though. I'm the first one in my family to have Eight, so I'm the trail blazer.

Regarding the desktop, I'll work on it again when I'm back home and not hurting like the dickens.

Just wanted to resurrect this thread to say thanks to Greg for helping me. Windows was reinstalled and everything's working great now. Love the country music system sounds you put on instead of just the normal dingdongs.

When choosing the Landscapes Aero Theme in Control Panel>Personalize, it sets a Sound Scheme called Bayou which has a very distinctive twang. It does have more personality than the typical dings.
