Windows 7, Build 7601, This copy of windows is not genuine

Hello,

Problem with my daughter's Toshiba L750D laptop, about 9 months old,
purchased from major UK retailer.

Machine was not charging up properly, probably due to loose power plug,
and kept shutting down (or crashing). When subsequently booting up was required to run
startup repair a couple of times, which also prompted to restore to previous
checkpoint a couple of times. When machine eventually boots up reliably
it now gives "Windows 7, Build 7601, This copy of windows is not genuine"
problem.

Unfortunately the C of A sticker is a bit worn, and I can't read some
of the digits despite using a magnifying glass.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not real sure but I do not know if we could provide any help unless the Windows is a genuine copy.

Well, it should be genuine. As I said the machine was purchased from a
major UK retailer (PC world) about 9 months ago, and it came with Windows
7 pre-installed.

No problems were reported about Windows 7 not being genuine until
yesterday.

This looks OK to me....

Please first try recreating Licensing Store.

Recreate the Licensing Store
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-Click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator - accept the UAC prompt
Run the following commands in the Command Prompt window, using the Enter key at the end of each

net stop sppsvc
(wait until the service has stopped before entering the following lines)

CD %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
REN tokens.dat tokens.bar
net start sppsvc
slui.exe

After a couple of seconds the Windows Activation dialog will appear.
You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key, or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case

Reboot and Post back with a new MGADiag report

Thanks. I have found it very difficult to read the COA, but eventually managed it
with a torch held at an angle, and a jeweller's eyeglass. This lets you see the indentation where
the characters have been printed. Seems to have successfully activated it now.

Will keep the activation code in a safe place from now on.

Odd that the following error still shows....

I would have expected that to be reset by validation.

I don't think it's anything to worry about - it may reset itself over time.
