June 11 Windows 7 Updates Seem to Have Caused An Issue...

    VistaKing, thank you for the resource. Just so you know where I'm at regarding the numbered instructions from your link:

    1.) I've ran the SURT, but perhaps not for long enough. I'll try running it for a few hours, but I believe this will likely be futile as when running in normal mode, windows is very slow and can't seem to do much - for example, I cannot access the windows updates panel. Unfortunately, this is unavailable in safe mode (makes sense, but for this situation it's a bummer).

    2.)
    I've ran an sfc scan with admin privs. Nothing found.

    3.)
    As I said, I cannot access windows updates, therefore I cannot see/read error codes.

    4.)
    I do have access to the CBS logs, so I'll prepare a zip and post it if all else fails.

    5.) I assume I can just use this thread? :)

    Any further thoughts and advice are very much appreciated.

    You should be fine here in this thread . Once you're done uploading the logs I will have tom982 take a look at them .
