Yeah, I get it everytime. I do let it do its thing, but still get it everytime. So is there a way I can recover all my desktop items....shortcuts, documents, etc? But yeah, the screen is still black and all my stuff on it is still gone.
Thank you so much for your help..really appreciated. Will this error on boot up keep happening?

I'll get a screen capture later if you need it. The search engine seems to be really odd. It's homepage is a weird site..delta I think. I am wondering if some other virus didn't get on it as well during all this

Thoughts on this? Again, thanks so much. I'd what you did a permanent fix or is it temporary?

Delta Search - you have been the subject of a hijacking from PUP software.

Please download and install Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free version) from http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ - UNtick 'Enable free trial of MBAM PRO' at the end of the installation - and update it, then run a full scan in your main account, and Quick scans in any other user accounts.

    Delete everything it finds

    Hey,

I have tried that since I read one of your posts for someone else. The problem is it freezes about 10 minutes info the scan...it says not responding. Any thoughts on how to get past that? Should I uninstall and reinstall?
    Thanks again lol

Boot to Safe Mode, and run the scan from there.

Ok will do. It won';t be until later tonight as I am at work now.

    What is PUP software?

So basically, just get my desktop looking the way it did before? Are those documents that were on the desktop recoverable?

Also, it seems things aren't in the same place in the directory as before. For example, before all this, I would click on MY PICTURES and all my folders were there. Now, nothing is under my pictures, but I can access them by going to C:/users/dave/my pictures.

I am only asking since all my pics are in LIGHTROOM and if the folders got moved, I am screwed lol

    thoughts?

PUP= 'Possibly Unwanted Program' - a driveby install of a Search engine or Browser Helper Object, often when installing other legitimate software (such as Chrome or Adobe FlashPlayer) and not noticing that other software is bundled with it.

So I'm in safe mode and the same thing happened...the malware froze shortly into the scan (25326 items)
Now what? Also, am I able to get back the files that were on the desktop or are they gone?
    thanks again!
