Hmm.. So how does that even happen??? How do I go about a repair? I don't have the install discs.. it was a promo through the university I no longer attend..

The disk isn't a problem - you can download an ISO file for the disk from the links here...

Make sure that you know your Product Key before you start!
use Belarc Advisor to get all the relevant Keys (www.belarc.com)

either a DVD, or a 4GB+ USB thumb-drive
(the file is 3.5GB or thereabouts, and won't fit on a CD!)
