Not-genuine Windows label in System Properties

    Hi everyone,

I have a Windows 7 license from Dreamspark that I am trying to use on this computer. I used to get the warning in the lower right hand corner about it not being genuine, I entered the key and that went away. However, in my System Settings it still does not say "Genuine" -- just that it is activated and to ask for Genuine Windows.

    I have Windows 7 Professional x64 with SP1.

    Here is my MGADiag report:

I have recreated the Licensing store on multiple occasions and this does not go away. Thoughts?

Try validating at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate using Internet Explorer - that should kick it into submission :)

I have tried that one. It downloads a file, running which just says "update completed" and then nothing happens - no "Continue" button or anything :/ The window just stays open until I close it.

Go to www.Microsoft.com/genuine/diag and see what it has to say
