Windows 7 Updates - Service not running

I am trying to run Windows updates and I kept getting an error saying "Service not running". I tried the microsoft fix program, but that did not work. I have restarted multiple times at advisement of Microsoft Fix each time it says resolved and I still get error. Would be grateful for assistance

    Farbar Service Scanner

Click here Farbar Service Scanner to DOWNLOAD

    Place file into your desktop

Place a check mark next to the following options

    • Internet Services
    • Windows Firewall
    • System Restore
    • Security Center
    • Windows Update
    • Windows Defender

    Press the Scan button

Farbar Service Scanner will create a log, called FSS.txt, on the Desktop. Upload the FSS.txt with your reply

Not seeing any issues in FSS.txt

Do you get an error message when you try to start the service inside services

You might take a look in services.msc, try setting Windows Update to manual, Apply,OK. Then reboot.

I do not understand this question " Do you get an error message when you try to start the service inside services " I get the error message when I click All Programs - Windows Update - check for updates.

I tried "set to manual and rebooted" No luck .

Windows update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running. You may need to restart your computer.
