    What do you mean by;

    I have reinstalled windows 7 (again) using the Windows 7 media refresh iso as suggested.

    What is a media refresh iso?
    What Windows 7 are you trying to install?

    Please read through the Tutorial again to make sure every thing was done as per Tutorial.

    Yes, media refresh is the latest ISO that was suggested that i try installing.

    Everything so far seems to be working fine, except windows update. I followed the Tutorial, and i have installed many versions of windows in the past including my current version of Windows 7 Home Premium. However, i have never received these windows update errors until recently which is why i am seeking help. I dont understand why i should be having such problems after a fresh reinstall?

    Any ideas would be appreciated

    Thank you derekimo. I learned something new to me at least.
    I still don't know how following that Tutorial could cause a error as the OP is getting.
    Could you give some guidance.

    I have seen where some have did a sfc /scannow to solve this problem but not after a fresh install.

    Hi guys,

    I'm still having problems with the windows update errors. I used the fix tool as suggested but oddly it found no errors to fix. I then used another update tool that I used previously from the Microsoft website to repair the update components and after a restart I was able to see and download the updates, however, a lot seem to be failing and I have to repair the updates components again to proceed with another batch of updates.

    I'm finding this situation very unusual and extremely frustrating since its a fresh install, and probably my 5th attempt. I'm starting to suspect faulty hardware?
