    Finally installed SP1 this August. Security patches for May-July?


    I finally got around to installing SP1 on my folks PC. Install went fine.

    My question is when should I expect or will windows security update patches for may, june, and july show up in windows update?

    Beginning in May those updates no longer were being sent because I hadn't installed SP1. I did notice a few other NEW Windows updates showed up immediately following the install of SP1, but not those security patches... so it appears that Windows update IS working.

    It sometimes takes a few reboots and manually checking for updates if you want to get them all at once.
    Reason is windows update tries not to bombard you with updates so its not annoying. I would keep manually checking also also enable optional updates as well. You can find this under change settings. Choose the option to get other software from Microsoft.
